Overview

Take a ferry with your guide from Takamatsu in ​​Shikoku to Teshima Island in the Seto Inland Sea and cycle around for a one day tour. After joining the guide at the ticket gate of Takamatsu Station at 10 am, you will depart from Takamatsu Port. After landing in Teshima you will travel around Teshima via electric bicycle. Enjoy the beautiful island where art and nature coexist to your heart's content.

①Umi no Restaurant(12:00〜12:45)
Have a nice meal at the pleasant Umi no Restaurant where you can enjoy a meal while looking at the
calm Seto Inland Sea. The menu is rich with local ingredients from Teshima Island, including seafood and organic vegetables. Enjoy your lunch accompanied by the pleasant wind and waves of the ocean.

②Karato Mountain Rice Paddies(13:30-13:45)
The Karato Rice Paddies are a symbol of richness in Teshima, which is blessed with abundant water and nature. The goal of the Toshima Tanada (rice paddy) Project is to reinvigorate and revitalize the area. When you climb up the mountains, it’s as if you were flying through the stepped rice paddies. It is a beautiful view that spreads from one side to another. The blue of the sky and the sea are contrasted nicely by the sea of green rice fields. The amazing view will make you forget your worries.

③Teshima Museum(13:50-14:40)
The Teshima Art Museum is located on a small hill in Teshima and was created by artist Rei Naito and architect Nishizawa Ritsue. In the internal space above the concrete dome, light and wind comes from the opening, voices of birds, artificially spring up from everywhere on the ground. You can experience the mysterious atmosphere created by the interaction between nature and architecture.
Here you can put yourself in a quiet space and spend some relaxing time in harmony with nature.

④No One Wins(15:00-15:10)
In the Karuto-Hama park, play basketball with your own rules with an interactive piece by Spanish artist, Yvette & Pons. It is a work of six basketball goals are attached to a board that imitates the shape of Teshima island. How you play is up to you. Use your imagination and enjoy a unique form of basketball that you can only enjoy here.

⑤Ohjiga-Hama(15:20-15:40)
Enjoy this hidden scenic spot on the island in the beautiful and calm Seto Inland Sea. On the beach you can see the all islands scattered about. The sunset on the horizon at dusk here is unforgettable.

⑥Teshima Yokoo House(16:20-16:50)
An art museum using an old folk house created by artist Tadanori Yokoo and architect Atsuko Nagayama. There are 11 works by Tadanori Oda on display, expressing the theme of life and death.
This art museum aimed at unifying architecture and art. It is a unique experience that can only be felt here, and is full of strange charms.
