Learn how to make popular types of sushi and becombe a sushi master in Asakusa, Tokyo
Sushi is one of Japan's most famous foods. This cooking class in Asakusa will teach you how to make your own sushi at home, and start you off on your path to becoming a sushi master.
Vegan and vegetarian sushi options are available (reservations required at least 3 days in advance).
The types of sushi you will make in this class are:
① Nigiri sushi: (4 types, 8 pieces)
Nigiri sushi is a traditional Japanese dish consisting of a small, hand-pressed mound of vinegared rice topped with a slice of raw or cooked fish, seafood, or other ingredients. It is typically garnished with a dab of wasabi and sometimes wrapped with a thin strip of seaweed (nori). Nigiri sushi highlights the freshness and flavor of high-quality ingredients, making it a popular and iconic type of sushi.
② Maki sushi: (8 pieces)
Maki sushi, or roll sushi, is a popular type of sushi around the world, where ingredients are wrapped in rice.

① Learn about the history of sushi. (10 minutes)
② Maki sushi and nigiri sushi making class. (70 minutes)
③ Eat your handmade sushi! (30 minutes)
