In accordance with Halal Recipes Japan, we are proud to present an authentic home cooking experience for our visitors who wish to experience Japanese cuisine while staying true to their beliefs. You will cook with the seasonal ingredients of Japan, but without the use of any pork or alcohol components, making for a safe, secure and healthy Japanese cuisine experience. Further, the tableware to be used when eating your meal is of the luxurious Wajima lacquerware brand known as "Wajima Kirimoto." which has a history of about 150 years. Please enjoy to your heart's content the combination of stylish and elegant lacquerware of Japan with delicious, Halal home cooking of traditional Japanese style.


・Enjoy the traditional Wajima lacquerware craft by actually using it during your meal.
・Unusual in Japan today, you’ll cook rice using an old-fashioned earthen pot.
・You’ll learn the basics of Japanese dining manners and tradition, including how to prepare and eat soup in Japan.
・All of our carefully selected ingredients and seasonings are, pork and alcohol free, and there will be no genetically modified foods or chemical seasonings used.


・Cutting board and kitchen knife and other kitchenwares are halal-only.
・Earthan pot and cookware and Wajima Lacquerware used is not halal-only.
・A simple worship space and prayer mat hand-washing facilities are available.
・In order to provide ingredient arrangements, reservations must be finalized one week prior to the experience date.
・50% cancellation fee if canceled the day before, 100% cancellation fee if canceled the day of the experience.
・Please advise if you have any dietary requirements outside of the standard Halal guidelines.
・For parties of one, a ¥3,000 additional charge will be applied.

Japanese homestyle cooking

I had an enriching and meaningful cooking session today with Mai san.
I learnt the authentic way of cooking Japanese dishes and Mai san was generous with sharing her knowledge and answered my questions knowledgeably and patiently. She even showed me where the supermarket was, sent pictures of the ingredients used and explained many other things about Japanese lifestyle. I truly apppreciate the effort of making Japanese cooking accessible to Muslim tourists. Thank you so much for the meaningful session today and to Omakase for being very efficient in arranging the session and answering emails. Do try this cooking experience when travelling to Tokyo!
